Suitable for families, a unique experience at our self catering accommodation in Boggoms bay on the Garden Route of South Africa, near Mossel Bay. As close as you will get to your dream of a holiday in paradise.

Secretive beachside spot creeping shyly onto the map with a cluster of thatched white-walled fishermen's cottages.

Authentic Cape cottage with thatched ceilings, Fishermen Cottage has red clay tile floors, Oregon Pine furniture and comfortable bedding, fully equipped as your own home. CD-players, microwaves, laundry facilities, hairdryers, television etc.

Spacious open plan lounge / dining area with fully equipped kitchen comprising a dishwasher and washing machine, large fireplace to braai (Bbq) South African style or just to sit around at night and drink a toast to this paradise of peace. Guest toilet.

On two floors and comprises of 2 double bedrooms – 1 en-suite with shower and bath, second double bedroom shares a shower room with a single bedded room with three quarter size bed on ground floor. The upstairs Loft has a double bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Our guests at Fishermen Cottage have full use of the facilities at the private Sport and Wellness centre in Boggoms bay just 2 minutes away.

These include: Gym, swimming pool, tennis court, squash court, heated indoor health pool, massage treatments ( by appointment), telescope for whale watching on the upper deck.

Cleaning service is available at a supplement of ZAR 50,00 but change of linen is every 5 days.
Beach towels are provided.

Full English breakfast is available on request at a supplement of ZAR 65,00 p.p. and served in your cottage - 3 course meal (dinner) also available on request suppl. ZAR 110,00 p.p. served in your cottage.

This stunningly beautiful bay at the start of the Garden Route but off the main routes offers a range of leisure activities. Suntan on the golden beaches, body surf, catch your own fish, beach comb on your own or with a guide along a section of the famous Oystercatcher Trail.

The Oystercatcher hiking trail is a fabulous eco-adventure. Rated as one of the top slack packing trails in the world. Guides can be arranged to take you on short walks with beach lunches. You return to your own cottage after an awesome half or full days walk. Marvel at how the African Black Oystercatcher survives. Eat wild oysters straight from the sea.

Game Reserves - Enjoy a game drive at one of the local game parks and experience the Big Five up close in a malaria-free area. All within a 20 minute drive.

Sip a wine, guzzle a pizza or eat fresh fish at the superb local restaurants in nearby Mossel Bay at the famous Point or at the harbour wall.

The nearby town of Mossel Bay also offers the Maritime Museum, Cultural Museum, the Aquarium and the Ethno botanical Garden. Watch artists at work at the Crafts Art Workshop, or go on a “Meet the people” Tour. Ride the Choo Choo to George.

A fascinating trip inland is to visit Oudtshoorn and ride an ostrich or visit the famous Cango Caves and cheetah ranch.
Wine and Port tasting at Calitzdorp is only 2 hours away from Boggoms Bay.

Bookings / Payments : Within option expiry date 50 % deposit is required in order to confirm the booking. Balance payment is due 30 days prior to arrival date.
Cancellations and Curtailments by the Client : Once payment is received and a voucher (Booking Confirmation) issued, any amendments or cancellations will incur the following charges:

This property is only available for a minimum stay of seven nights. Check-in times are normally from 14:00 to 20:00 hrs and check-out is by 10:00 hrs however should the suite not be booked on your departure day, understanding your flight may be in the evening, owner will allow you to stay 'till early afternoon.

Public transport in South Africa is not as well established as foreign visitors may be accustomed to. While this is constantly being improved, make sure that your transport arrangements are taken care of before you travel, to ensure a stress-free holiday!

If you decide to rent a car, there are many car hire companies from whom luxury to budget cars are available for hire. Or consider hiring a camper for a self-drive vacation or "do" South Africa in a 4-wheel drive vehicle.
Remember that vehicles in South Africa are right hand drive and travel on the left hand side of the road. You will require an international drivers license and a minimum of 5 years experience. Public roads in South Africa are well developed and well sign-posted.
