West & North Coast

Milnerton is the oldest of the suburbs along the northern Table Bay. It is a solely residential area with a beautiful old part with pretty houses and many trees.

The next town is Table View. One can walk there from Milnerton along the beach. It is a residential area popular with young families and the view of the mountain is breathtaking. At the beach one can often see kite surfers who, hanging from huge kites, let themselves be dragged through the surf by the wind.

Bloubergstrand lies some kilometres further north. Despite the bigger distance from Cape Town, the view here, is the best. Table Mountain is often veiled by a blue haze and that is where the name "Blouberg" originates.

Particularly wide is the beach at the neighbouring Melkbosstrand. Here a new Golf Estate has opened and it has one of the few camping grounds of the Cape Town area.
