South Africa is one of the most diverse, enchanting Countries in the World. Exotic combinations of landscapes, people, history and culture offer the traveller a unique experience.

South Africa boasts some of the best, least crowded beaches in the World, renowned wildlife parks such as Kruger Park, beautiful natural scenery and a stable post-apartheid enviroment.

South Africa's immensely varied terrain supports a rich diversity of wildlife, birdlife and plant-life and offers an incomparable range of experiences and natural beauty for which Tourists flock to the Country.

SOUTH AFRICAN people are on the whole friendly and will greet you with a firm handshake. Salutations vary from "Hi" and "Hello" to "Howzit" - as in "how is it" - which to a South African means "How are you?" If you ask someone for directions and they refer to "robots", they are in fact talking about traffic lights.

As a nation South Africans are mad about sports. If you hear people speaking about the Springboks or the Boks, chances are they are referring to the national rugby team rather than wildlife. The national soccer team is commonly referred to as Bafana Bafana, while the national cricket team is known as the Proteas, after the national flower. All three sports are close to the South African's heart.

South Africa's time is two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time, seven hours from Eastern Standard Time and 10 hours from Pacific Standard Time.
